INEC presents Certificate of Return to Oborevwori

Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Wednesday, presented the Certificate of Return to the Governors-elect, Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and the Deputy Governor-elect, Sir Monday Onyeme.

Also presented with Certificate of Return at the ceremony which took place at the Commission’s headquarters in Asaba, were the twenty-nine members electededed at the 18 March State Assembly election.

The presentation of the Certificates according to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, was In line with the provisions of Section Seventy-Two, sub-section One of the Electoral Act 2022, as amended.

The provision mandates INEC, to issue a certificate of return within 14 days to every candidate who has been returned elected under the law.

The National Electoral Commissioner in charge of the Bayelsa, Delta and Edo states, Mrs Roda Gumus, who presented the certificates of returns, congratulated the Governor-Elect and his deputy for their victories at the polls, saying that INEC will continue to live up to its responsibilities.

Delta State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Rev Monday Tom-Udoh, in his remarks, encouraged the winners to carry everyone along and to make the overriding interest of the people their top priority.

The twenty-nine members elect for the State Assembly presented certificates of return by INEC were NWAOBI EMEKA EMMANUEL, Aniocha North, ANWUZIA ISAAC OZOR, Aniocha South, PREYOR OBORO, Bomadi, OLOYE PEREOTU, Burutu Two, AKPOWOWO ARTHUR, Ethiope East, OKOWA-DARAMOLA MARILYN DUMKELECHUKWU, Ika North East, Okoh Festus Chukwuyem, Ika South, ODIOR BERNARD, Isoko North, OBOWOMANO BINO OWHEDE, Isoko South One and ONWO FERGUSON, Isoko South Two.

Others include OSAMUTA EMEKA PRINCE, Ndokwa East, EMETULU CHARLES CHUKWUEMEKE, Ndokwa West, AUGOYE JAMES OJADUVBA, Okpe, ESENWAH FRANK NGOZICHUKWUKA, Oshimili North, ANYAFULU IFECHUKWUKWU BRIDGET, Oshimili South, SINEBE AMATARE EMMANUEL, Patani, UMUKORO AWOLOWO PERKINS, Sapele, UTUAMA FESTUS, Ughelli South, DAFE CHUKUDI, Ukwuani, MARTINS ALFRED, Warri North, UROYE AUGUSTINE, Warri South Two and GUWOR EMOMOTIMI DENNIS, Warri South West.

Also presented certificates of return were EBITONMI ANTHONY ALAPALA, Burutu Two, ACHOJA BLESSING, Ethiope West, EGBETAMAH OVIE COLLINS, Udu, OMONADE MATTHEW ONOJIGHOFIA, Ughelli North One, OHWOFA OBOKPARE SPENCER, Ughelli North Two, EMAKPOR EDAFE, Uvwie and OBIRE BENSON, Warri South Two.
