Honourable Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, daughter of former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori on Thursday soared higher in her political sojourn following her emergence as the Chairman House Committee on Niger Delta Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, a first-timer to the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, represents Ethiope Federal Constituency, which is one of the three federal constituencies that make Delta Central Senatorial District.

Her journey to the 10th National Assembly gathered steam when on Tuesday, May 23, 2022, when she won the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the House of Representatives election for Ethiope Federal Constituency in the 2023 National Assembly elections.

She polled 46 votes to defeat her only challenger the then-incumbent member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency, Hon. Ben Igbakpa, who scored 22 votes in the party’s run-off primaries election conducted at the Oghara Township Stadium

In 2015 she made her debut in the 6th Delta State House of Assembly to represent to Ethiope West House of Assembly and was re-elected to the 7th Assembly in 2019.

In both Houses, she was appointed as the Chairman House Committee on Appropriation.

Erhiatake traditionally on April 8, 2017, got married to her heartthrob, Mr Abioye Suenu, according to Urhobo culture and tradition by the Ibori families in Oghara, Delta State.
