Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State on Wednesday swore in an additional nine Special Advisers with a charge to the appointees to put in their best to actualise his administration’s MORE Agenda for the people of the state.

Among the newly sworn-in nine Special Advisers is a two-term member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon (Chief) Peter Uviejitobor.

Uviejitobor in an interview with newsmen immediately after the historic event, held at the Unity Hall Government House, Asaba, promised to serve the state diligently as a Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State.

Uviejitobor who represented Udu State Constituency in the 6th and 7th Delta State Assembly, said he is prepared to join forces with critical stakeholders in the state to drive the MORE agenda of the state government led by Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.

The elated former lawmakers emphasized that the Governor meant well for Delta State and requires every support to succeed in advancing the state to another level of development.

According to Uviejitobor, the very essence of good governance is to ensure that the state and its people remain on the part of progress, stressing that the required ingredients to achieving such were captured in the MORE mantra of the state government as encapsulated by the team leader, Sheriff Oborevwori.

The Political Scientist and recipient of many awards in business and community services promised to bring his wealth of experience in both private and public sectors to bear in the service of Delta State.

Uviejitobor who was full of appreciation to God for multiple blessings, paid glowing tributes to Governor Oborevrwori for his appointment as Special Adviser in the state and promised not to betray the confidence reposed in him.

The former lawmaker thanked the people of Udu, particularly political associates and support groups for believing in his capacity to deliver.

Uviejitobor called for sustained support of the people to the government of Delta state, saying that the appointment meant much to him as it again provided another opportunity to serve God and humanity.

“I thank God for His mercies upon my family and I. I thank my Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevrwori for appointing me as Special Adviser. I promise to use this present position to affect life and society positively. I thank the people of Udu, I thank my supporters for believing in Hon Chief Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor. I appreciate God, I appreciate the Governor, I appreciate my people,” Uviejitobor stated.
