Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar has said that he did not reject Governor Nyesim Wike as his running mate but only picked a candidate he could work with “amicably”.

Atiku, a former Vice-President of Nigeria under the administration of Olusegun Obasanjo said this in a chat with Arise TV on Friday.

Recall that Atiku despite the recommendation of Wike as the party’s Vice-Presidential candidate by a committee constituted by the party went ahead to pick Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate.

The political upheavals generated by the choice of Okowa has continued unabated and has also shook the foundation of the PDP.
