EYITAYO JEGEDE CAMPAIGN ORGANIZATION

PRESS RELEASE

PLANNED ATTEMPT BY THE APC TO DISRUPT, DELAY AND DESTABILIZE VOTING IN PDP STRONGHOLDS.

We have been reliably informed through our sources that the APC has perfected plans to distribute some fake voters card to some non-registered voters within the stronghold of the PDP in an attempt to frustrate voting in the Saturday 10th October elections.

The plan which is reportedly being orchestrated in collusion with some thugs imported into the state from three of our sister states within the Southwest and Kogi, is in an attempt to delay and disrupt voting.

These non-registered voters upon receipt of the fake voters card will proceed to line up to vote and during the process of verification of their voter’s card, will demand to be allowed to vote while seeking to create a reason for conflict at the polling unit.

We advise the general public and appeal to the security agents to be on the lookout for these criminals and once caught (irrespective of their age, gender and creed) should be arrested and detained.

We remain committed to the principles of free, fair, open and transparent elections and advice the outgoing APC government of Mr Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) in its own best interest to abide by the rules guiding this elections.
