Nurses in Ondo state government hospitals who started strike Monday night have suspended the action.

The Nurses decided to stop the industrial action immediately after the government began payment of September 2020 salary arrears to workers in the state including the health staff.

Report says the nurses and some other workers have started receiving salary alert for the month of September

The nurses under the aegis of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, (NANNM), said nonpayment of their salaries and deduction had caused untold economic hardship on them and turn them to beggars. But government reacted by paying the workers from today.

The nurses who did not attend to patients since morning, have started performing their official duties this afternoon after they received salary alert.
