COVID-19: CEPEJ to hold 3-day virtual programme

The Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ) will on Wednesday hold a virtual programme themed, ‘The Effect of Covid-19 to the Environment, Practical Ways to Sustain the Degraded Environment’.

The 3-day event is scheduled to hold on October 14, 21 and 28, 2020 by 12:00 noon via Zoom with the National Coordinator, CEPEJ, Comrade Mulade Sheriff coordinating the event.

The 14th October, 2012 programme will feature the Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Civil Society and Civic Engagement, Comrade Rex Anigorho will speak on, “The role of CSOs, NGOs and IOCs in the remediation of the environment”, Dr Wesam Al Madhoun of Micro Pollutants Research Centre, University Tun, Hussein Onn, Malaysia, who will speak on “The resultant effects of the use of Pesticides to the environment and human health” and Dr Regina Folorunsho, Director, Nigeria Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research (NIOMR), Lagos

Other speakers include a representative from the Federal Ministry of Environment, Abuja, who will talk on “Government strategic plans in sustaining the environment from degradation amidst COVID-19”.
