Lagos State Police Command has arrested popular Nigerian singer, Harrysong, over the claim that Soso Soberekon attempted to kill him.

According to TheCable the spokesperson for the Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the musician’s arrest.

Harrysong had called out Kcee, Skiibii, and Soberekon, the music executive, during a recent interview.

He also alleged that Soberekon sent people to assassinate him in Port Harcourt.

“There are people I have been working with for years and if you say their names, you would say na Harry guy be dis, but them no be my guy, as a matter of fact, those are my real enemies. If you see Soso now you will say na my friend,” he had said.

“Soso is not my friend, he is my enemy, he wants to kill me. He sent people to come and kill me in Port Harcourt no jokes. I have evidence, videos and pictures.”

Speaking further, Hundeyin said the singer was arrested after a petition against him by Soberekon.

He also said Harrysong’s arrest is to enable the command to facilitate the investigation into his assassination claim.

“We received a petition against him from Soso Soberekon which prompted an investigation. So the arrest is in regards to the investigation,” he said.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Harrysong disclosed that his phones have been seized and that the police officers are not letting him communicate with his people.

The development comes a few days after Soberekon threatened to sue the singer for defamation.

The music executive also ordered Harrysong to retract the claims and issue an apology to be published in two national newspapers and other online news outlets.

The singer was also asked to pay a sum of five hundred million naira as “damages and compensation”.
