There was palpable tension in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State as gunmen in the early hours of Monday abducted Zenith Bank’s Zonal Manager.
The victim works with Zenith Bank near Urhobo College in Effurun.
He was coming to work when the gunmen who shot sporadically at the scene, waylaid his vehicle and abducted him to unknown destination.
When contacted, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Hafiz Inuwa in a telephone chat with Our Correspondent said, “About it”.
He said the Police are doing their best to get the victim released unhurt with a view to arresting anyone connected with the crime.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer,DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya in a telephone chat with Our Correspondent also confirmed the report.

She refused to disclosed the name of the victim for security reasons.
According to her, “Am not ready to disclose that.”
