Frontline Delta politician, Amori emerges PDP Deputy National Organising Secretary

Three-time Political Adviser to past National Chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ighoyota Amori has emerged as the party’s Deputy National Organising Secretary ahead of the party’s national convention.

The PDP national convention is scheduled for the 30th and 31st of October, 2021, in Abuja.

Amori, a former Commissioner for Education and Water Resources in Delta State is among fifteen national officers who emerged unopposed at the close of the party’s screening exercise.

Speaking with NewsNet Nigeria, Senator Amori said, “First, it is a thing of joy. I want to express my thanks and appreciation to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the Delta State PDP chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso and the entire PDP family in the state for the honour and the confidence, they reposed in me.

“My nomination was not challenged by anybody and at the end of the screening, I was returned unopposed.

“I feel elated and I want to assure all PDP faithful that I am going to serve them to the best of my ability. Serve the people of Nigeria and make Delta State proud as far as the National Executive Council of the PDP is concerned.

“I will not disappoint them, the Delta spirit is still very much in me.”

The Urhobo born political tactician, who was the pioneer Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Delta State has an antecedent and pedigree for galvanising and mobilising massive support for the party at all levels of elections since 1998.

Below is the list of PDP national officers that are unopposed:

(8) DEPUTY NATIONAL TREASURER – NDUBUISI ENEH DAVID
