As Nigeria celebrates its 65th Independence anniversary, prominent Delta politician and former two-time Commissioner, Chief Fred Majemite, has extended warm felicitations to the people of Delta State and Nigerians at large as the nation marks its 65th Independence anniversary.

All Progressives Congress, APC, in its message of felicitation, described the milestone as a time for both celebration and sober reflection, noting that Nigeria’s journey since independence has been marked by resilience, sacrifices, and unwavering hope in a greater future.
He called on Nigerians to embrace renewed patriotism and unity, stressing that the nation’s strength lies in its diversity and collective will to surmount challenges.
“At 65, Nigeria has weathered storms that could have broken lesser nations. Our people have remained resilient, hopeful, and determined. This anniversary should remind us of the values of patriotism, hard work, and unity that our founding fathers stood for,” Majemite said.
He also urged leaders at all levels of government to prioritise good governance, equity, and justice, pointing out that inclusive policies and accountable leadership remain the surest ways to sustain citizens’ confidence in democracy.
