Former APC guber aspirant joins PDP as Okowa, Oborevwori, take campaign to Ughelli North, Isoko South

The Delta State campaign trail of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Wednesday took its message of advancing Delta to Ughelli North and Isoko South Local Government Areas of the state.

During the campaign rallies, some prominent leaders of the opposition party in the state joined the PDP.

Prominent among the decampees were a one-time governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Osiobe Okotie and Mr Prince Omoru from Orogun community.

There was an unprecedented turnout of party supporters at the Ughelli Township Stadium venue for the Ughelli North campaign rally and Oleh Township Stadium venue for that of Isoko South.

Giving reasons for their decision to dump their former party, the one-time Governorship Aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, chief Osiobe Okotie and Mr Prince Omoru said the current administration at the centre has bastardized the Nation’s economy explaining that was they could not continue with a system that has brought so much hardship to Nigerians.

They promised to fully mobilize and put all necessary machinery in motion to ensure that the rescue mission of the PDP is actualised.

The Delta State Governor and Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa while addressing the crowd described the youths and women as the strength of the party on election day and commended them for their steadfastness and for keeping faith in the party.

Governor Okowa while noting that the PDP is out to correct the wrongs of the current administration at the federal level called on party faithful to immediately embark on a vigorous door-to-door campaign to enable the party to win at all levels.

The Governorship candidate of the party Right Hon Sheriff Oborevwori while soliciting votes revealed that the youths and women are well captured in his M.O.R.E Agenda.

The state chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso and the Director General of the campaign council Rt Hon Solomon Funkekeme thanked the people of Ughelli North and Isoko South for the show of love for the party and its candidates through the massive mobilization appealing to them to translate it into votes

Some leaders of the party in Ughelli North and Isoko South including Chief Fred Majemite, Chief Ovie Agas, Hon Charles Oniyeren and Senator Stella Omu described Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori as a destiny child assuring all candidates of the party of massive votes in the election.
