Flooding: Church of God Mission distributes relief materials to victims of Isoko zone in Delta

Affected flood victims in Isoko zone of the Church of God Mission International in Delta State have expressed their appreciation to the Church for the distribution of relief materials worth millions of Naira to them.

The items comprising mattresses, clothes, bags of rice, cartons of noodles, tubers of yam, toiletries and insecticide-treated nets were presented on behalf of the Archbishop, God Mission International, Margaret-Benson Idahosa by Rev O.k Martins.

Reverend O.k Martins while handing over the relief materials to the Coordinator of Isoko zone of the Church of God Mission International, Reverend Odahgwe-Adol Ifeanyi, explained that the items were contributions from the CGMI to assist victims in cushioning the effects of this year’s flooding on its members.

Reverend Martins who sympathized with victims of the flood over their losses noted that the CGMI has always shown concern for the welfare of members explaining that the relief materials being distributed were part of donations from the Church.

Receiving the relief materials on behalf of flood victims of Church of God Mission in Isoko, the Coordinator of the zone, Rev. Odahgwe-Adol Ifeanyi, commended the CGMI for their timely intervention.

The clergyman equally commended the ministers of the CGMI for their transparency in handling and presenting the palliatives devoid of withholding the relief materials.

He promised to judiciously distributes the relief materials among the different provinces of the church.

Other members of the Church of God Mission Isoko zone present including Reverend Henry Ehigie-Osarobo and Reverend Raymond Omoruwou, gave kudos to CGMI for meeting flood victims at the point of their needs.

They described the gesture by Archbishop (Dr) Margaret-Benson Idahosa and other donors as Christianity in action noting that the food items, clothing and other household materials would enable the affected flood victims to heave a sigh of relief and at the same time feel the impact of the Church.
