President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and FIFA Council Member, Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick has congratulated Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho on the duo’s triumph with Leicester City over Chelsea FC in Saturday’s FA Cup final in England.

Belgian Pro League club Genk have turned down a €25m offer from Lazio for Nigeria forward Paul Onuachu.

Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi and forward, Kelechi Iheanacho featured in the encounter at Wembley and at the end celebrated with a Nigeria flag.

President of the Nigeria Football Federation and FIFA Council Member, Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick, said the win for the players was as a result of the hard work they contributed to the team.

He advised them to replicate it on the national side.

Amaju noted that the triumph will serve as a major psychological boost for both players ahead of the country’s friendly games and FIFA World Cup qualifiers starting in September.

Leicester City won their first-ever FA Cup after a victory over Chelsea at Wembley Stadium courtesy of Youri Tielemans second half winning goal.
