Europe based Princess of Agbon Kingdom comes home April 15

Arrangements have been concluded for a royal grand reception to celebrate the homecoming of Europe based politician, Princess Uruemu Omeru-Adejinmi, the daughter of His Royal Majesty, Mike Omeru, Ogurimerime, Ukori the First, Ovie of Agbon Kingdom in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.

A statement by Chief Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, a lawyer and made available to newsmen today Wednesday, April 13, 2022, said the ceremony is being organised by Agbon Royal Family to honour Princess Oruemu, for her milestone achievements and more particularly for etching her name in gold as the first black woman mayor of Longford Municipal District, Ireland in Europe.

The grand reception is expected to attract illustrious sons and daughters of Agbon Kingdom, senior government officials, political appointees, palace Chiefs and people from all walks of life.

“The Oloku of Agbon Kingdom, Chief Broderick Arigbodi, will preside at the ceremony as chairman of the occasion.

“The grand reception will take place on Friday 15th April 2022, at the Royal Palace of the Ovie of Agbon Kingdom, Otor-Agbon, Isiokolo, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, beginning from 12 Noon prompt.

“Dignitaries and other invited guests are to be seated on or before 11:45 am,” the statement added.

Princess Mrs Uruemu Omeru-Adejinmi, a Nigerian woman, was elected Mayor of Longford County Council in Ireland in 2021.

Adejinmi’s win earns her a series of firsts. She has become the first migrant, first African and first black female to become Mayor in Ireland.

Her journey in Ireland politics began in 2016 when she supported a candidate in a local election
