ANCOPSS pledges commitment to educational development in Delta

Delta State Chapter of the Association of the Nigerian Conference of Principals of Secondary School (ANCOPSS) has reiterated its commitment towards the development of the education system in the State.

The State President of ANCOPSS, Lady Winifred Emeni stated this in  Asaba when she led some stakeholders of the association on a thank-you visit to present gift items to the immediate past Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu.

Lady Emeni said that the former Commissioner was a good ambassador of the teaching profession, adding that as an educationist she had contributed modestly towards the upliftment of the education sector.

She expressed optimism that the administration of Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori would consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor in the education sector, stressing that the association would continue to play pivotal role in the driving the education system to enviable heights.

Also speaking, the Secretary of the association, Comrade  Mofe Eunice Otomi explained that ANCOPSS was a body of principals who came together for the purpose of recognising their functions and leveraged on the platform to contribute their quota in the educational development of the State.

Mrs. Otomi , who stated that ANCOPSS always interfaced with schools and governments at all levels on what needed to be done to move the education sector forward.

She congratulated Governor Oborevwori and described him as an education friendly Governor .

Responding, the immediate past Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu who was represented by her then Special Assistant, Mr. Ejiro Mayor appreciated the State ANCOPSS for acknowledging her contributions to the educational development of the State and for honouring her with gift items.

Mrs. Ezewu described the Lady Emeni as  a very humble woman and good administrator, adding that the association should sustain the existing unity among her members.
