Rotary Club of Evwreni in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State has impacted the lives of 15 indigent persons in a vocational service project of paint and liquid soap production.
The training which was completely free and had 15 indigent persons drawn from Evwreni, Unenurhie and Otor-Ogor communities took place on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Eclat Royal Hotel in Ughelli.
The trainees were Peace G. Maison, Moses Tegiri, Jonah Elo, Ugbogun Ejiro, Romeo Faithfulness, Asaba Sarah, Oghenekome Omuta and Otega Goodluck.
Others were Taiye Edirin, Blessing Omonime, Godwin Onoriemu Joy, Ikweki Oghenero, Blessing Egbonodje, Godstime Lucky and Monday Onovwede.
Vice President, Rotary Club of Evwreni, Rotarian Clementina Ejabefio, who stood in for the Charter President, Rotarain Samuel Adjogbe, AKS, said the vocational service project is aimed at building knowledge and skills to enable the participants to be self-reliant especially as the Nigeria’s economy is bitting very hard.
Rotarian Ejabefio admonished participants to put what they have learnt to practice and make an honest means of livelihood for themselves and their families to justify Rotary’s immense contributions in touching lives.
According her acquiring a skill is key to personal development in line with Rotary International theme for year 2024.
The resource person Rotarian Elizabeth Onakehor took the trainees through all the steps and how to get the needed items for production paint and liquid soap.
