Pandemonium broke out Sunday evening in Orhuwhorun town in Udu Local Government Area of Delta state as suspected cultists clashed causing residents and commuters to scamper for safety.
As at the time of filing this report, it was uncertain what led to the clash but, multiple sources say members of two rival cult groups clashed around Usiefurin junction in Orhuwhorun town about 6pm with exchanged of gunshots.
Orhuwhorun town has witnessed several cult clashes off late.
In year 2020, a local Vigilante bus, a Toyota Sienna space bus, was set ablaze by suspected cultists who felt the security agents were in support of their rival gang.
Gunshots continued to rain in the air as residents appeal to the relevant security operatives to restore normalcy to the area.
The Delta State Police Command is however yet to confirm the development.
