Obi of Ogwashi-Uku has embarked on a massive wealth transfer to sons and daughters of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The traditional ruler is allocating free plots of land worth millions of Naira to hundreds of indigenes of the Kingdom.

A release published by the Palace Secretary of the Obi of Ogwashi-Uku, Prince Ifeakanachukwu Emordi said: “You will all recall that the Obi of Ogwashi-Uku upon assuming the throne four years ago as the Obi embarked on a massive push to recover land which had been sold illegally by a few individuals in the kingdom. Our land is a major source of wealth for the people of Ogwashi-Uku.

“His Majesty has moved to consolidate land already won through the courts and in his custody. Members of the Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom are aware that our land tenure system vests Overlordship, Custodianship, and Trusteeship on His Majesty.

“So far, approximately 1200 hectares of land has been successfully recovered all over the Kingdom and his Majesty intends to start giving back to sons and daughters of Adaigbo. By the authority vested in the Obi as the Custodian, Trustee, and Overlord of all land in the Kingdom, his Majesty wishes to announce that each son or daughter who is an indigene will be allocated a plot of land in the Royal Reserved Area and other areas recovered by the Obi of Ogwashi-Uku. Each plot of land is conservatively worth millions of Naira. By allocating this land to the people of Ogwashi-Uku, will permit an immediate wealth transfer and empowerment worth millions for each individual.

or visit www.ogwashi-uku.com and select Apply for Land. Fill out your application form. Alternatively, you can visit the Palace to collect an application form. Complete the form and pay an application fee of N10,000. It will be vetted by a committee and upon approval of the application, a plot of land will be immediately allocated to each successful individual. The main criteria for the free plot is for you to be a bona fide and confirmed indigene of Ogwashi-Uku. You will be required to start your fencing or building within six (6) months from your allocation failing which it may be revoked.”
