Delta governor’s father, Arthur Okowa, passes on at 88

Sir Arthur Okowa, the father of the Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, has died at the age of 88 years.

NewsNet gathered that the patriarch died at the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Asaba, after a brief illness.

Though his death has not been officially announced, multiple sources confirmed the sad development to NewsNet.

News of the death of the governor’s father came barely a few hours after that of the passage of the Majority Leader of the Delta State of Assembly, Mr Tim Owhefere.
