Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has said that only God will decide who becomes the next governor of the state come 2023.
Speaking on Wednesday at Asaba during the 2021 Quarterly Media Interaction, Okowa said it is not within his power to determine who becomes the next governor.
On the speculation that he might handover to an Ijaw governor instead of someone from Urhobo extraction, the governor said only God knows who will succeed him.
He noted that there exist a ‘gentleman’ agreement within the PDP family in Delta state but quickly added that there was never a meeting where the agreement was formalised.
