Senator Ede Dafinone has congratulated the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), Orhue I, on the occasion of his birthday, commending the monarch for his steadfast leadership and contributions to peace, unity, and development in the kingdom and across Delta State.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the Dafinone family and the people of Delta Central Senatorial District, the senator described the Orodje’s reign as inspiring and impactful, noting that it has fostered dignity, pride, and cohesion among the Okpe people.
Dafinone said the steady progress recorded in the kingdom under the monarch’s leadership attests to his vision and foresight, citing improvements in community development, institutional strengthening, and economic growth as hallmarks of purposeful traditional governance.
He also acknowledged the monarch’s role as Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, crediting him with providing stabilising leadership and promoting harmony among the state’s diverse ethnic groups.
According to the senator, the Orodje’s wisdom, diplomacy, and fatherly counsel have been crucial in guiding Delta State through sensitive social and political moments, making his voice one of balance and reason in the pursuit of peace and coexistence.
Dafinone prayed for continued good health and strength for the revered monarch, expressing hope that his reign would remain a source of unity, peace, and prosperity for the Okpe Kingdom and the entire state.
“On this special day, I join the people of Okpe Kingdom, Deltans and well-wishers worldwide in celebrating a life of service, honour, and humility, dedicated to truth, justice, and fairness,” the senator stated.
