Three feared dead as rival cult groups clash in Delta community

Three persons have been reported dead as rival cult groups clashed at Abraka community in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State.

NewsNet gathered that dangerous weapons including guns were allegedly used during bloody clash.

Sources say several others who are yet to be identified also sustained various degrees of injuries when the incident occurred on Tuesday night.

Details on what caused the latest clash were still sketchy as at the time of filing this report.

The Divisional Police Officer, DPO at the Abraka Divisional Headquarters declined comments on the matter.

He said, “I can’t give you information on that now.”

When contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the report in a telephone chat with Our Correspondent in Warri.

She said, the clash is between the Eiye and Black Axe confraternities in the University community of Delta State.
