Popular Urhobo gospel singer, Evangelist Jerry Ekpekurho, has been reportedly kidnapped by gunmen, reports NIGER DELTA TODAY.

Ekpekurho was allegedly kidnapped along the Osubi/Eku Road in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.

The incident occurred on Tuesday when the singer was heading to his farm along the route.

The arms-wielding abductors were said to have waylaid the Urhobo music legend and forcefully whisked him to an unknown destination.

Ekpekurho’s vehicle was left behind by the kidnappers along the road which prompted relations to suspect it was a case of abduction.

The abductors were said to have contacted the family of the musician demanding N50 million to free him.

It was gathered that the abductors later reduced the ransom to N15 million after much pleads from the family on Wednesday.
