Gunmen have kidnapped the Benin depot chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, (IPMAN), Baba Abdul-Hamid Saliu, in Edo State.
It was gathered that the gunmen killed his driver before kidnapping him.
Reports say Saliu was kidnapped on Monday evening at about 7pm in Jattu, his country home, in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
The gunmen, numbering six, who reportedly laid ambush at his residence with two vehicles without number plates, started shooting sporadically on sighting the victim’s vehicle and in the process killed the driver.
