A scuffle between a Policeman and a bus driver Friday morning on the Eku/Abraka road in Delta state which left the driver seriously injured has continued to elicit wide condemnation.
A video which went viral on Friday night showed the bus driver whose name is yet to be ascertained bleeding profusely as a result of the scuffle.
From the video, one of the Policemen at the checkpoint where the incident occurred could be heard appealing for calm while another of his colleague was still sitting inside the bus for a reason yet unknown.
From a photo taken at the scene of the incident, the name of the Policeman that was involved in the scuffle with the bus driver was identified as Paul Audu.
In a phone chat with NewsNet on Saturday morning, the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the incident.
She said the erring Policeman has been arrested and being tried by the Police authorities.
The Police image maker also revealed that the wounded bus driver is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
NewsNet gathered that a policeman and a civilian were recently killed at the same spot where the scuffle took place.
