A High Court sitting in Benin-City the Edo State capital has restrained Amagba village from meddling in Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s farmland in the community.

Justice P.A. Akhihiero gave the interim injunction on Friday, October 21, 2021, in a motion ex-parte filed by Pastor Ize-Iyamu and I. O. Farms Ltd.  (Claimants) in the suit marked B/623/2021 with Elder J.B. Omoma and six others as defendants.

The six other defendants are Elder F. Ekhoruromwen, Elder E. Edosomwan, T. Oghadomwangbe, Uyi Emwinmandolo, Hon Mathew Iduoriyekemwen, Peter Erhimwionrose (alias Ebo Amagba) for themselves and on behalf of Amagba village).

The court restrained the defendants from further encroaching, bulldozing, selling or leasing the said land pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice.

It further restrained the defendants, their servants, agents and/or proxies from meddling with the said land or demolishing improvements on the land pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice.

Documents sighted by NewsNet Nigeria showed that the farmland in question was legally acquired by Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and I. O. Farms Limited between 2009 and 2014 with valid Certificates of Occupancies subsequently issued by the Edo State Government.

By the injunction, the general public have advised to steer clear of the said properties as it will amount to a contempt of court not to do so.
