The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has raked in the sum of N63.2 million as proceed from the sales of forms from 33 aspirants in the forthcoming national convention of the party.
While the nomination and expression of interest forms for the position of the National Chairman are N5 million, that of the Deputy Chairman/National Secretary is N3 million.
Other substantive offices are N2 million and Deputy offices, N750,000.
A list of the aspirants shows that only one person is vying for the position of National Chairman, five persons for Deputy National Chairman and three persons for National Secretary.
Northern PDP leaders had on Thursday, October 14, 2021, adopted former Senate President, Iyorchia Ayu, as their consensus candidate for the position of national chairman ahead of the party’s national convention slated for October 30-31.
