As the world marks International Women’s Day, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor has stressed the need for enhanced gender-friendly environments that would encourage more females to excel in their chosen careers.

The Speaker while acknowledging the remarkable achievements of some Nigerian women in the global affairs record, stated that the greater involvement of women in nation’s building was capable of engendering peace and development in the society.
