It was a gathering of who is who in Nigeria at Chief Ogedegbe’s of Escravos Compound in Ogedegbe Avenue in Iyara, Warri in Warri South Government Area, Delta State as Justina Edema wedded Ogude Samuel traditionally.

The traditional marriage whose reception was held in front of Dore Numa College, Warri over the weekend was described by many as unique in its respect.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman, Chief George Owarieta, the Ogbodu of Agbon Kingdom and Chief Executive Officer, Canewood Hotels, Ekpan, Warri, Delta State, admonished the couple to love each other saying any marriage built on true love, tolerance and faithfulness can stand the test of time.

He said many marriages fail today due to lack of aforementioned ingredients and therefore charged the couple to abide by them if they are to enjoy their marriage.

He said:” any marriage which lacks love and trust can not stand the test of time”. He however said marriage is not always blissful saying sometimes, there could be some disagreement but what matters is the ability to settle their differences amicably.

He said: “there could be sometimes, disagreement but the ability resolve such a challenge with maturity makes all the differences”.

On his part, the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu said marriage is an institution where one can hardly graduate as the ability to continue to tolerate each other makes all the differences.

Comrade Ikeogwu who was flanked by other journalists in the state among whom are Warri Correspondents’ Chapel Chairman, Comrade Okies Vickies and his Secretary, Comrade Dele Fasan, said whenever there is a disagreement between the couple, they should not allow the third ear to hear what transpired but settle their differences amicably.

He said: “l will say that in the school of marriage, one does not graduate, you should continue to respect, forgive and tolerate each other and don’t let third ear hear your issues because no marriage is devoid of challenges”.

In a short interview, the couple, Mr and Mrs Justina Ogude thanked God Almighty for the success of their marriage just as they thanked those who were able to grace the occasion despite the short time of receiving the invitation notice.

They said: “We thank God for the success of our marriage and those of you who were able to make it despite the short notice, we say, God, bless you all”.

The highlights of the occasion were the thrilling of the gathering with the music supplied by DJ Ruona and intriguing and mesmerizing comedies by a renowned Warri-based broadcaster and Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri Radio Presenter, Comrade Jonathan Gbeji a.k.a Ashefelefele, Ashebolokor.
