Ovie of Oghara kingdom, His Royal Majesty Noble Oyibo Eshemitan, Orefe III, on Sunday led the entire kingdom at an interdenominational thanksgiving service to appreciate God for a peaceful reign as he marks his 10th coronation anniversary at the First Baptist Church, Oghara-efe in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Oghara monarch alongside her Majesty, Queen Iyabo Eshemitan, sons and daughters of Oghara kingdom, the Ovie of Ughelli kingdom, Oharisi III, palace chiefs, clergymen, friends well-wishers, danced and appreciated God for His faithfulness and grace upon their lives as they celebrate the 10th coronation anniversary of the royal father.
Orefe III whose joy knew no bounds in his remarks gave thanks to God for a peaceful reign in his kingdom and for the achievements so far since he ascended the throne.
He enjoined all to always seek the peace and development of the land and also commended the anniversary planning committee, all invited guests, sons and daughters of the kingdom for their support and encouragement towards the development of the kingdom and prayed for God’s blessings on them.
In his sermon titled, Celebrating God’s Grace, Pastor-In-Charge of First Baptist Church, Oghara-efe, Reverend Iweh Godspower, charged the people to always acknowledge and recognize the grace of God.
Taking his biblical reading from First Corinthians chapter 15 verse 10, Reverend Godspower called on all to appreciate the grace of God for the advancement of Oghara Kingdom and the church of God in the land.
Former DESOPADEC Chairman and Chairman of the 10th coronation anniversary central planning committee, Chief Williams Makinde, some clergymen, sons and daughters of Oghara kingdom described the monarch as a peace-loving man who always seeks the good of all.
They prayed for God to grant him more blessings, protection and more years on the throne.
Earlier on Saturday, the royal father and family visited Our Lady’s Hospital, General Hospital, Merciful home and St. Joseph’s Catholic orphanage to extend their benevolence to those in need as part of activities for the coronation anniversary.
The high point of the ceremony was the royal banquet at the palace ground.
