In a statement by Olorogun Okorodudu, a PhD holder and current Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, the journey to the eternal rest of Princess Mrs M. D. Ikolo, starts at 4pm on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, with a Service of Songs at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Airport Road, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

On Friday, April 9, 2021, at 9 am there will be a funeral mass at the same Church while the internment and reception will be at her country home and Etako Primary School, Okpare-Olomu in Ughelli South Local Government Area.

The funeral arrangements will be concluded on Sunday, April 11, 2021, with a thanksgiving service at the same church in Effurun beginning at 10:30am.

Late Princess (Mrs.) Margaret Diemiruaye Ikolo (Nee Okorodudu), died at the age of 70 years.

She was born on new year day to Late Prince Patrick Misadjoma Okorodudu, son of late HRH Okorodudu Iroghen, Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom in Ughelli South Council Area.

Her mother is the late Deaconess Cecilia Tobore Eboh of Okpare Olomu, a renowned politician, former chairlady of NPN in Ughelli South; a successful businesswoman and a religious women leader of the First Christ Apostolic Church.

Late Margaret was reputed to be very intelligent and the first to be admitted into St. Theresa Girls Grammar School, when it was founded but could not attend due to lack of funds.

She later studied Secretarial Studies and worked for several years at Ughelli Local Government Council.

Late Margaret, a devote Catholic, joined Delta Steel Company (DSC) in 1982, where she worked till she retired.

She was famous for taking care of Catholic Reverend fathers from far and near.

Late Princess (Mrs) M. D. Ikolo, the only sibling of the same mother with Dr Olorogun Ebenezer Okorodudu, was a disciplinarian, tough but loving and caring, hate lies, love quality things, hard-working as well as dedicated to any given assignment.

She is survived by four educated sons with the first son, Prince Clement Ikolo, who will most likely emerge as the new king of Ewu Urhobo Kingdom.
