APC insensitive, careless about Nigerians, says Delta PDP campaign DG Funkekeme

Director-General, Delta State People’s Democratic Party, PDP Campaign Council, Rt Hon Funkekeme Solomon has decried the insensitivity of the All Progressive Congress, APC, on the nation’s woes and called on Nigerians to reject the party in the forthcoming general elections.

Addressing a mammoth and an unprecedented crowd of his kindred in Ojobo community, Burutu local government area, who welcomed him triumphantly into the community on Friday, Chief Solomon said APC should show remorse and apologize to the people for broken promises, and stop going around telling lies and deceiving gullible Nigerians.

He stated that no section of the society or sector of the nation’s economy was spared by the APC mal-administration, noting that the Atiku-Okowa ticket remains the way forward to recover the country from the threshold of total collapse.

Reacting to an online report that his kinsmen had left PDP to APC, Chief Solomon, who described such statement laughable, stated that the people of Ojobo community were too civilized to fall into the antics of the APC.

The PDP Campaign Council Director-General who was coerced into over ten kilometers match round the community by his people in solidarity with his leadership, emphasized that OJOBO community remains a stronghold of PDP.

“This is Ward 5. You can see the dominion of PDP in this community and in this ward. You are a witness to the joy and enthusiasm of the people everybody acknowledges PDP. Men, women and youth are on the same page as long as PDP is concern in Ojobo community. And that is a show of acceptance of me as the leader of the community. I am strongly connected to this community. I grew up in this community.

“We just tested the waters to show that Ojobo is traditional and predominately PDP. You can see the over ten kilometers walk with the people stop stop over in several rest houses at the bank of the river.

“The next stage is to embark on unit to unit campaign and we must visit the 29 units. This gathering today is to show solidarity with me their leader as a prelude to the inauguration of unit canvassers and commencement of unit to unit campaign,” Solomon stated.

Saying that the 2023 general elections will be won across the board by the PDP, Chief Funkekeme Solomon, a former Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and former Commissioner for Works in the state, said even indigenes of his Ojobo community were not spared of the pains inflicted on Nigerians by the APC.

The DG Campaign Council, however employed the people of Ojobo community and indeed all Nigerians to reject any form of inducement or unholy alliance with the APC, stressing that never again shall darkness triumph over light.

“Where are the kinsmen, said to have left the PDP? In the first place there were no defections from the PDP in the community. Defection to where? The people of Ojobo community, Burutu ward 5 are too civilized for such mistakes.

“They can’t embrace more poverty, insecurity and underdevelopment into their lives. Those that visited the APC gubernatorial candidate were never part of the PDP family and they did so in their own right,” he explained.

Chief Funkekeme Solomon charged eligible voters to cast their votes for Atiku-Okowa, Sheriff Oborevwori and all PDP candidates for the elections, saying that in Burutu local government area, it is six over six.

Some members of Ojobo community and PDP faithful, including the Ward 5 Chairman, Tiko Young paid glowing tributes to Funkekeme Solomon for his steadfastness and perseverance in addressing the needs and aspirations of the people.

Other respondents, including women and youths emphasized that the people of Ojobo community were united for PDP, and have since resolved to cast their votes en-block for the party’s candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

The respondents appealed to the Director General of the PDP Campaign Council not to be distracted by the antics of failed politicians who can not even visit Ojobo community but to remain focused in order to lead them aright.

Chief Funkekeme Solomon later at different venues held strategic meetings with the elders, women and youths respectively, where he urged each group to deliver PDP one hundred percent in Ojobo community in the forthcoming general elections.
