A young man of 24 years has died in the swimming pool of Wellington Hotel, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
PEBNEWS reports that the incident occurred on Monday, March 11, 2024, the deceased went to the hotel with some of his friends to swim and have fun.
It was gathered that the deceased friends of the deceased were given floaters before they entered the pool except himself.
He was alleged to have drowned and died while swimming.
The spokesperson for Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe in a phone chat with NewsNet Nigeria confirmed the incident saying, “The boy got drowned while swimming but, we are investigating”.
