Ahead of the Local Government Elections in Delta State, Ughelli North Local Government Area is at the threshold of a new era. An era that beckons for a new leadership; a leadership that is uncontaminated by the prejudices of the past; a leadership committed to change; a leadership that reinvents government, to solve the everyday problems that confront the average man on the street in line with the M.O.R.E Agenda of our working Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori; the Executive Governor of Delta State.

The APC-led past and present federal governments are needless to say that citizens are suffering and our Local Government Council is not exempted.

Our Local Government Council has in recent times witnessed increasing social vices, insecurity, poor economic programmes, infrastructural decays and an unsavoury political atmosphere.

Comrade Lucky Olerhimena Ofomukoro (JP) from Unit 10 Agbarha Ward 1 in Agbarha Otor Kingdom of Ughelli North Local Government Area being a homegrown astute politician is well abreast with the happenings in our council and is prepared to bring solutions to man-made problems as the next Council Chairman of Ughelli North with a capable team.

It is a time of hope, optimism, and fresh possibilities. We look forward as a Council to the new democratic year to usher in Ofomukoro as the next Council Chairman 2024 as an opportunity to build a better society where peace shall reign, economic activities flourish, infrastructural development to thrive, human capital programs for our youths and women and harmonious party working relationship in our great party.

Comrade Ofomukoro is a B. Ed grafuate of Counselling Psychology, a former Organizing Secretary of PDP in Agbarha ward, former Personal Assistant to a Commissioner on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) and immediate past member Delta State Waterways and Land Security Committee.

Other positions held by Comrade Ofomukoro were Coordinator for Youths in Ughelli North Constituency 1 for campaign in the 2023 general elections and Security Coordinator in Agbarha Otor for the election that ushered in the incumbent Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
