“YOU ARE THE PARTY OF VIOLENCE”, DELTA APC TELLS OKOWA AND PDP

It is with much regret that we are constrained to respond to the Delta State PDP statement referencing Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, APC, representing Delta North Senatorial Zone in the National Assembly, on the occasion of the swearing-in of the Delta State All Progressives Congress, APC, Executive Committee on 16 February, 2022 in Asaba.

Clearly rattled by the resurgence of the APC in Delta State, the PDP fixated on Senator Nwaoboshi, a political powerhouse they have now obviously identified as their chief nemesis in Delta North.

Senator Nwaoboshi had merely said that “there’s no rigging plan that I don’t know. The battle has started. It’s total war. Not the war involving the use of firearms, but they will have themselves to blame should they try that”.

In a poorly packaged statement by the Delta State People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, the party, had, amongst numerous other shameful misrepresentations, sought to impugn the integrity of the Senator while trying to paint the APC as a party championing violence.

Everyone knows by now that Osuoza, while fancying himself as the spokesman of a political party, is actually only the Man Friday of the woefully failed Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and his PDP-led administration which has been politically castrated.

Thanks to Okowa, there is no political party, properly so-called, in the embodiment of the PDP in Delta State and, what really exists is merely a refugee camp of starved and starving politicians rendered destitute by the avarice, tightfistedness, clannishness and family-centrist politics of Okowa.

Far from Senator Nwaoboshi losing his usefulness to the PDP, it is the PDP that lost a gem of rare and sterling political sagacity and resourcefulness in Nwaoboshi, when they were foolish enough to lose him to the APC.

In fact, while pretending that Nwaoboshi’s exit is not a headache to the PDP, by continuously obsessing over the veteran political grandmaster ever since his defection, the PDP had only unwittingly exposed the fact that it is scared witless of him and that Governor Okowa, in particular, has suddenly found the prospects of his political future to be quite bleak, going forward!

The PDP has always been the party of violence and thuggery, of thumb-printing and snatching of ballot boxes, of kill the people, steal the vote and share the money!

Senator Nwaoboshi was merely serving notice that with the inauguration of a new executive, the APC is now fully on ground to rescue Delta State from what would eventually amount to 24 years of kleptomaniac misrule under the PDP by 2023!

The PDP calls Okowa “The Road Master”, while each and every road he has done has either failed or is currently failing.

Okowa calls himself “Ekwueme”, a title Christians generally reserve for God.

Okowa, power drunk and carried away since 2015 has suddenly seen the handwriting on the wall and the message there requires no special interpretation for it is a crystal clear and unambiguous prophecy of his impending and ominous doom.

Indeed, and as Okowa, himself, has already realised but unbeknownst to his minions and army of sycophants, the only thing left to ponder is who and whom will find themselves going down with him into a bottomless pit of total political irrelevance and worse post 2023!

Deltans are finally beginning to see the PDP and its colourless governor for what they really are: a cancer afflicting the state since 2015 which the APC is finally on ground to rescue them from!

Delta APC is here and, it is not only here to stay, it is here to rule come 2023!

Dr. Omene Odafe
State Director Publicity
