Warri North Council: PDP loyalists applaud elders, leaders for adopting Festus Ashima as chairmanship candidate

Hon. Festus Ashima has emerged as the consensus chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Warri North Local Government Council in the July 13, 2024, local government council elections in Delta State.

Hon. Ashima’s emergence as the party’s flag bearer for the chairmanship position was by a unanimous adoption by elders, leaders and PDP faithful in Warri North.

Following Ashima’s adoption, a socio-political pressure group christened ‘PDP Loyalists of Warri North Local Government Area’, in a statement on his behalf, commended the elders and leaders of the party in the local government areas for ensuring a seamless process which would further strengthen the unity of the PDP in the area.

The group in an electronic statement endorsed by the Chairman, Comrade Frank Ekpen Olu and Secretary, Hon Gift Duakpemi said, “We the PDP Loyalists of Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, appreciate the Elders, Leaders and Party faithful who stood firm for the selection process of the PDP candidate:
