A tanker laden with petrol exploded at the premises of Fenog Limited on Airport road, Warri in Delta State destroying other vehicles.

The explosion instilled fear in the staff of companies nearby, vehicle owners and passengers on Airport Road.

There was pandemonium on Airport Road and in the premises of Fenog Limited, Warri as a tanker laden with petrol exploded and burst into flames.

The explosion shook the premises and workers of the company scampered for safety.

Others quickly mobilised to reach the state fire services in Uvwie, Warri and the NNPC fire service.

Flames went up, as sympathisers gathered at the gate of the company with security agents on guard.

Fire fighting vehicles arrived at the scene, but there was little they could do.

One after the other, the fire service trucks came, but the tanker was still in flames.

Sympathisers blamed the lack of firefighting equipment on the premises and the late arrival of other firefighting vehicles for the damage.

Management of the company could not be reached to react to the development.
