Shoprite Warri located by the popular Effurun roundabout in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State has reopened for business.
The staff of the business outfit had on the morning of Saturday locked the main entrance in protest of the One Thousand Naira being offered to them by the management as their yearly bonus for 2022.
A staff of the Shoprite Warri told NewsNet Nigeria Correspondent who visited the place at noon on Saturday that the issue which led to the shutting down of the outfit has been resolved but did not give details on how the matter was settled.
Customers who had gone early to do their shopping were left surrendered as they were caught up by the workers’ protest.
Some of the customers who were frustrated and infuriated by the development wondered how a business entity like Shoprite will be paying their staff a thousand naira as a yearly bonus.
“This is a big fuckup for Shoprite Warri. The management, don’t they have shame?”, asked one of the surrendered customers who was bittered by the development.
