High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, the Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a condolence message addressed to the Nigerian nation, Buhari’s family, and his associates, Tompolo, who is the Ibe-Ebidouwei of the Ijaw Nation, described the late leader as a principled and patriotic Nigerian who contributed significantly to the nation’s development during his tenure as President from 2015 to 2023.

“He was not a materialistic person and remained content with what God blessed him with. As President, he sought individuals of character, goodwill, and vigour to serve the country,” Tompolo stated.

He noted that this commitment to national service was evident in Buhari’s decision to engage Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited in 2022 to safeguard the nation’s critical oil and gas assets at a time when the industry was facing severe challenges.

“Today, the story is different, as Nigeria is steadily advancing towards achieving its optimal oil production capacity,” Tompolo said.

He concluded by acknowledging that Nigerians will deeply miss Buhari’s contributions to the unity and peace of the country.
