There is serious tension at Hausa quarters area of Igbudu Market in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State as hoodlums have reportedly attacked and stabbed the Chief Priest of Igbudu community popularly known as Mr Victor to death for allegedly impregnating and abandoning a Hausa lady.
The deceased had attended a carnival at Digbori Street, off Hausa quarters, when the hoodlums who were believed to be from the Hausa community allegedly attacked and stabbed him to death.
It was learnt that Igbudu community youths are angry over the death of the deceased who was said to be a grandson of the late Alawuru.
There are fears that the youths may avenge the death of the chief priest.
When contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the incident.
She said “yes, it is true, somebody (a man) was killed.”
