The Nigerian Government has been called upon to walk the talk of creating an enabling environment for micro, small and medium scale enterprises to thrive in the country by implementing policies and programmes that will stimulate economic growth.

Chairman of Tatcha Farms, located at Okuloho, in Okpe LGA of Delta state, Olorogun Alfred Mrakpor made the call at the weekend at Okuloho, during the annual end of your party organised by management of the Farms to appreciate staff and clients.

Olorogun Mrakpor stated that the call became imperative to facilitate the ease of doing business in Nigeria and noted that the high cost of doing business across the nation has forced many SMEs to close shop thereby worsening the growing unemployment rate.

While also appealing to the state government
release the maize allocated to delta by the federal government at an agreed cost, he stated that Tatcha Farms, one of the leading Indigenous agricultural production companies in the country decided to organize the event to appreciate and motivate staff who have worked assiduously to grow the fortunes of the organization despite the harsh business environment.

“The cost of doing business in this country is increasingly devastating. We cannot be talking about addressing unemployment, growing the economy without the federal government walking the talk”
“We also appeal to Delta state government to release the maize allocated to Delta by the federal government at an agreed cost to help Poultry farmers in the state”. Mrakpor quipped.

Also speaking at the event, Managing Director of EVOMEC Global Services Limited, an oil servicing firm, High Chief Peter Esievo, Chairman of Poultry Farmers Association of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, Chief Henry Okpomor among others commended management of the organization for the annual event and called on staff to redouble their efforts because according to them, the reward for hardwork is more work.

Different categories of awards including most dedicated, most improved and most productive staff awards among others were presented to deserving staff who distinguished themselves during the year in their service to the establishment. However, one of the staff, Mr Udeke Daniel, carted home the coveted prize which earned him the FACE OF TATCHA 2024 award.

Several musical artistes including Warri-born entertainer and 2017 Winner of Big Brother Naija Reality TV Show, Michael Ejeba popularly known as Efe Money were on ground to entertain guests.

Some top government functionaries, captains of industry and other dignitaries also attended the event.
