Frontline Ijaw leader, Chief Julius Babogha has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to stop using the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio in undoing the region which is terribly plagued with underdevelopment.

In an interview with newsmen, Chief Babogha, who is the GM/CEO, Babsfield Corporate Ventures stated that the minister has become an errand boy through which the powers that be in the country unleash pains on the people of the Niger-Delta region.

Babogha noted that if the presidency is sincerely committed to the development of the region that lays the golden egg of the nation, Senator Akpabio will not be the right person to champion the affairs of the people of the region.

He accused Akpabio of playing the script of his godfathers who do not want anything good to come to the Niger-Delta region, saying that the region has not benefitted anything commensurate with what the region offers.

He called on President Buhari to ensure he completes the East-West road before the expiration of his tenure and to also chart a new course for the region.

It would be recalled that different notable leaders from the Niger Delta region including the national chairman of PANDEF, and elder statesman, Chief Edwin Kiagbpdo Clark, had accused the minister of being a stumbling block and obstacle to the development of the region as the only access road which started during the regime of President Goodluck Jonathan is still there abandoned.
