Nigeria’s Flamingos on Sunday won bronze at the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in India after beating Germany 3-2 on penalties.
The German team came back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 against the Flamingos but lost 3-2 during penalty shootouts.
The current Flamingos become the first Nigerian female U-17 team to win a medal at the FIFA tournament.
