Former Super Eagles midfielder, Justice Longs Christopher has reportedly died of cardiac arrest at the age of 41.
The Plateau State born footballer who passed on Wednesday morning made 11 appearances for the Super Eagles.
He was also a member of the Korea/Japan 2002 World Cup squad.
During his career from 1999 to 2012, Christopher played for several clubs, including Katsina United, Sharks F.C., Bendel Insurance FC, Antwerp FC (Belgium), Levski Sofia (Bulgaria), Trelleborgs FF (Sweden), Alania Vladikavkaz in Russia and Herfølge BK in Denmark.
After the end of the season 2006/2007, he announced his retirement from football
However, on 21 October 2012 Christopher announced his comeback and signed for Nigeria’s club side, Nasarawa United
He made his debut for the Super Eagles in 2001 and last played for his country in 2002 with 11 caps and no goal.
