Following the failure of the Super Eagles to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, the team’s Head Coach, Austin Eguavoen has reportedly resigned his job.
Brila FM reports that Eguavoen has sent an official resignation letter to the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
According to the Sports radio, Eguavoen will now return to his role as Technical Director of all national teams.
The NFF is however yet to release an official statement as at the time of filing this report.
The Federation had handed a two-year contract to Eguavoen two days before the first leg of the World Cup play-off against Ghana.
