A new executive to pilot the affairs of the market was also constituted.

While reopening the market after 21 days under lock and key, Onoyake admonished the people to be peaceful and law-abiding even as they commence business activities again.

The council boss tasked the traders to follow due process as crisis amount to no good as it dampens economic growth and development.

He urged the new executive to carry everyone along and pursue key into the peace initiative being enjoy in the council area.

Earlier, a member of one of the factions, Mr Ekemezie Emeka apologised to the council chairman for the role he played during the crisis in the market assuring the council chairman of his genuine repentance.

Others who spoke expressed their readiness to partner with Hon Ramson Onoyake in his resolve to promote peaceful coexistence noting that the three weeks of the lockdown of the market has taught them a great lesson.

The newly elected chairman of the tools and motor spare parts market, Mr Nnaemeka Ndulue appreciated Hon Onoyake for his timely intervention in the market and the wisdom he exemplified in forestalling the crisis and returning sanity back.
