The Senate on Wednesday confirmed General Olufemi Oluyede as the Chief of Defence Staff after a brief screening at the National Assembly.
Oluyede, along with other newly appointed service chiefs, arrived at the National Assembly Complex around 10 a.m., accompanied by top military officers.
He was cleared less than an hour after his arrival, following a swift and tightly secured screening session.
