The Chairman Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu and Chairman Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande, have been invited by the House of Representatives to brief it on the electronic transmission of election results.
Yakubu and Akande are to appear before the House tomorrow Friday, July 16, 2021, by 10 am.
The Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, gave this hint after the House failed to reach a Consensus on the provision of Clause 52 of the Electoral Amendment Act being considered by the House.
The explanations from both Chairmen are expected to guide the decision of lawmakers in the proposed electoral bill.
