Criminals operating in connivance with tricycle operators appear to have devised a new means of dispossessing passengers of their money and other valuables.
NewsNet gathered that passengers are distracted while in the tricycle leading to their valuables being cleverly taken from them.
Some residents of Warri who pleaded anonymity confirmed that this method of dispossessing people of their property in tricycle has been going on for a while.
Those who narrated their experiences, as well as the experiences of others, advised tricycle passengers to be vigilant, avoid taking instructions from tricycle operators, be focused and protect their valuables while travelling from place to place in the city.
It is important that commuters are abreast of the antics of some criminals posing as passengers and working with tricycle operators to dispossess passengers of valuables.
